Has anyone got any captures or video of That's Oxford (or Solent)? I'm interested as they are due to be the new operators of Manchester and I wondered what they were like. Thanks!
That is surprisingly good. Looks really nice. Bottom table format could have done with a bit of set behind maybe.
Was the content and debate good on them then?
The Leeds one was slightly let down by the fact that Ed Balls (sitting MP for the constituency they were featuring) wasn't able to attend due to other commitments and was empty chaired. (Surprised they didn't allow him to nominate somebody else - a local councillor whose seat isn't up for election this year maybe - to appear on his behalf).
The audience was pretty small and included a single individual who applauded everything the UKIP candidate said, and somebody else who heckled the Tory a few times.
Definitely live, they asked for and read out some tweets, and the presenter (youngish guy, not seen him before) seemed to be doing a decent job.
I'm a long time lurker on these pages, but first time poster...
I've been watching Made In Leeds on and off since launch and they've made some good progress in some areas, but others are still a little painful to watch.
I didn't see the debate and though you say it was definitely live I was starting to wonder whether MIL actually had the facility or not to broadcast live or not?
At first I did think that they were able to put out 'On The Aire' live but after a couple of cock-ups I've realised it's pre-recorded.
The most noticeable was maybe about a month ago when the programme was initially played out in the 'split-screen' used for the weather instead of full screen. After ten minutes or so somebody noticed and crashed straight into a commercial break.
Coming out of the break the programme was started over, from the beginning.
I don't think Made In Cardiff's news is live, and the election programmes definitely aren't as they were filmed at a studio facility a few days prior. I don't think there's anything in the way of live programming, so maybe none of the Mades have live capability... but perhaps that isn't a bad thing.
There is a major incident kicking off in Pontypridd tonight which is about 10 minutes outside Cardiff, so it will be interesting to see if it's covered on the 9:30 Hello Cardiff. A police statement is due around the same time.
Really? It's a bit generic maybe, but it doesn't look as tacky as some of the local TV sets we've seen. Genuinely want to know how you think it's dated? Something I'm missing?
