Could I ever become a newscaster?

'newscaster'?!

^Have you seen the ITV News credits recently? That's what they call them now.

I dont think anyone these days walks into a Newscaster or readers job anymore. Most, nay all start off as reporters etc.

As 623058 says, it's a job you need to work up to as opposed to walk into.

Having said that, where were you when they were looking for presenters for the Channel 6 companies? You'd wipe the floor with them.

Send in your CV to Big Centre TV.

Scrap that, just walk in and they'll probably give you the job

That being said: I actually like your style of delivery!

Most TV journalists start at the bottom - try starting in newspapers and working your way up!

Remember Staff shortages and illness is your friend

you might get a surprised at how many reporters are pushed out because of this. Heck a good number point blank refuse to do this and it falls on someone else.

I want to become a journalist first. I'd love to go into print journalism, but I just filmed this because way into the future, I would love to be a broadcast journalist!

I don't want to just be a presenter. I'd go the proper route!
