Frozen appears to be very popular on NOW TV. It's the only film I've watched where it has buffering and dropping bitrate issues.

When I attempted to cancel my movies pass which runs out in January, NOW TV have offered me four months for £7.99pm which I've accepted.

While slightly more expensive than the NOW TV gift voucher or the Currys/Argos £13 box pass offer, it's a decent offer in comparison to £9.99pm.

Someone on NOW TV's community forum appears to have discovered that Argos will be selling pre-payment passes.

These include:

1 week sports pass £10.
2 months movie pass £15
3 months movies pass £25
3 months Entertainment pass £15
5 months Entertainment pass £25

NB
Currys PC World are now stocking these in major stores, available to order and collect from all others and also on offer for mail delivery.

Interesting issue with the PCW invoice for three cards that I ordered and collected today, VAT has not been levied on them they're shown rated at 0pct. So if this is correct they're making a tidy sum on each transaction.

They're effectively a gift voucher, which in taxation terms is a credit note (albeit sold by an agent in this case). VAT is payable at the time when goods/services are purchased; so in this case will be paid by BSkyB.

That used to be the case, agreed. But the Voucher isn't a Gift Voucher per se. It's a single purpose voucher so surely the changes in May 2012 which state that the such services are taxed as provided on the date of voucher purchase apply. Therefore the voucher should have been sold VAT inclusive. I suspect DSG have made an error.

The tax point when buying a voucher from NOW TV directly is on the date of voucher purchased, not when activated.

It would seem that DSG might be pocketing the full £10 rather than £8.33. I suspect that HMRC will catch-up with them eventually messy though.

If it has an ethernet port on it, I might consider getting one. Oh, and the new "revamped" logo is crap.

It'd need to be 50Hz for me to buy another NOW TV box. I only use it for ITV Player.

Dixons Carphone have extended the range of stores stocking these cards now, seems that all bar the very small in town stores have the most popular ones of each type for over the counter sale.

Looks like the new logo is being rolled out. Here's how it looks on YouView.

The website has been tweaked too...

It looks eh..interesting. I guess they are trying to give the brand a bit more personality.
