Wouldn't be surprised to see the 10pm bulletin ultimately cut to 30 minutes. Are they taking any reports from ITV News for their international coverage?

Actually that's the bulletin that has the best prospects. the 6.30 could be the finest News on TV and it would take years to break down the Six One audience. On the other Hand the 10pm Bulletin is a slow burner, they'd be happy enough for 100,000 -150,000 a night in a year or 18 months time. They're already half way there a lot of nights.

They have some sort of agreement with Feature Stories News. It's almost all their reporters they're using when they have reports from London, the US, etc. To be fair the news service is miles ahead of TV3's News at this stage but it's missing a spark. It appears dull like there is no energy to the show.

They provide a lot of Content to a load of stations. They're not bad at what they do, They also have an hourly bulletin that goes out on all kinds of radio stations.

Cheaply presumably ??

I don't have current figures to hand but yes it can be very competitive. They're in the business of Making money but you can do a deal far easier with them than say others that would stick to their published rates.

With talk of UTV Ireland moving its 6:30pm bulletin earlier (you'd think they'd have learnt from previous attempts to compete with Six One), there also comes news that from today Clare Byrne Live moves to 9:30pm, arguably a move RTE should have made to its predecessor current affairs shows in this slot years ago.

Had to do a double take today. TV3 seem to lost a sizable share of it's already small audience over the last seven days. Red Rock continues to lose viewers. it's Wednesday Ep is now down to 73,000 Adults. Compare that with a month ago when it had 187,000 Adults. It's Thursday Ep doesn't even make the top 20! None of their Home made shows seem to break 100,000 with the exception of One ep of Vincent Browne and their Coverage of the Champions League. At this rate of descent Ireland AM will be making it's top 20 within 3 weeks.

There's no sign at all of the 7 o clock show, and it's a very low barrier to cross. 65,000 will get you into the top 20.
