GMA looks like a vision of hell . . . . Mad
Its a horrible programme. All of ABC News has taken sharp shift down the toilet. Everything about GMA is a complete laughing-stock. HATE IT! Tabloid Garbage.

After catching some of the show on ITV player the refreshed theme has really grown on me, it feels a lot more relaxed and welcoming.
The sofa area also looks much nicer than before especially with the new window frames and extended sofa, although i don't like the new desk as it looks like part of an old caravan but i can see why they changed it, as the desk was too large for the 3 presenters.
I assume they made a few tweaks to make the show flow better, and after watching the 6 and 7 hours were pretty full of news. More than Daybreak v1. I'm hoping they won't change too much more, sadly they didn't give the first format enough time imo. Lets hope this one works, however unlikely.

Are there no longer 4 presenters at the desk?

The article has links to Fox News. If any US News broadcaster is "beyond tabloid" it's Fox News. Pot, kettle, black, anyone?

I know that it is unlikely, but if the do bring back Sean, there is a spot next to Susanna for a fourth presenter.

I thought the new desk was because the old one is two big for 3 of them? But still make a 4 seater new desk...

Amended 8am open which is a 'coming up' rather than 'top stories this morning'. Same music etc.

The four of them were sat at the desk for the sport bulletin.

looking back at this, way too much brown, looks cheap, nasty and tacky.

And scatter cushions on a TV sofa are never a good sign. Ever. They kind of signal that you aren't confident in your sofa design...

It's a very good use of space, and has obviously had a significant amount of money spent on it. The screens and the way they are fed is very clever.

Not sure why they are tweaking the studio though. Wouldn't they be better concentrating on what's in the programme?

I suspect content and scheduling of that content is what will win them viewers, not a different desk...

To be fair, they have used scatter cushions since the programme began...

The reaction from the public on twitter has been overly positive.

Ah twitter, the steadfast barometer of reasoned public opinion.

I don't think the public has time for reasoned opinion in the morning. They either like it or switch off, which is why Twitter shouldn't be underestimated.

The only problem is, at this stage, of course the reaction to GMB is going to be more positive, as the only viewers left watching it are the ones that like it.

Unless there are thousands of twitter posts, I'm wary of reading too much into a few tens of comments from a self-selecting group. There are still hundreds of thousands of people watching GMB in comparison.

Agreed to a point. It's nowhere near an exact science, but if you look at comments by people who aren't in the industry, that just live everyday lives, and the views are all similar (as was the case when GMB launched) you have to give them some credibility.
