I don't expect these will air this evening, but one can dream!

Thanks but it doesn't really tell me much does it? Only Autumnwatch mentions Hallowe'en and the rest have a generic synopsis.

I guess I wouldn't get your hopes up, D.Page.

I haven't seen much of the Learning Zone presentation recently, but is it still using the "dropping acorn" theme to any great extent now or it just presented as BBC Two programming?

Yes, it still uses the acorn/oak tree branding and the same ident from 1997

That really should be updated. In fact, why not use the BBC Knowledge brand? It's already used here on a magazine, and the idents already exist thanks to foreign TV channels.

Knowledge is something different though isn't it - factual rather than education? The remaining Learnining Zone programmes are really the last vestige of OU/schools.Now that the BBC Earth branding has made it to the UK now I suspect Knowledge will follow soon in front of documentaries.

For the number of times its shown and the number of viewers the old stuff is just fine

Point of interest: Just noticed that they've updated the opening sting of BBC TWO programmes on iPlayer. The Swan Reverse sting (logo less) is now shown rather than Zoetrope, which has been used since the beginning and lasted throughout box and soundtrack changes.

Hmm odd they'd use the Swan sting, I thought a woodpecker sting or even a duck sting would be more appropriate for the start of iPlayer programmes?

Still nice to see that these old stings/idents are spreading through the BBC, even makes me more hopeful for some Christmas idents?

Duncan Newmarch (continuity announcer) confirmed on here that it's the 2011 set again.

Further confirmation that the windows are gone forever though and as such somebody should really be getting round to amending that trail style and *broken record*
