Another LondonViews poll about London Live.

The first question was "We’re just checking … have you heard of London Live before today?"

It also asks which of the original content you'd like to see or not again out of:

CTRL Freaks
Drag Queens
Alex Zane: Funny Rotten Scoundrels
F2 Kicks Off
Food Junkies
Jeff Leach +1

It then asks which programmes from a selection of C4's comedy back catalogue you'd like to see including The IT Crowd, Da Ali G Show, Friday Night Dinner and Drop the Dead Donkey.

It then went on to ask about Place Invaders and their infomercial programming.

Ofcom have approved a request from London Live to reduce the amount of local repeats.

They sneaked that one in didn't they?

Drop The Dead Donkey would be brave. It would put their own news programming to shame.
Rijowhi and London Lite gave kudos

A nice sequence on Wake Up London this morning where Vanessa did the travel and weather and then walked over to the desk for a chat about the storms.

Not only is Vanessa much more concise and coherent than a few months ago, but her new set-up with the big screen, improved graphics and the view of the road outside the window is just about as good as I've seen for any travel presentation anywhere. They just need to get the main presenter shot looking as good.

I agree, she's improved greatly. I notice they had a 'Crimefighters' segment during Wake Up London as well.

The crime segment has been around for a couple of months now.

I watched Vanessa one day last week and while I agree she's improved by simply having her in the studio with the large monitor, there are some bulletins where she clearly hasn't had time to prep and reads what is on the screen. Jade Worsley (who I haven't seen since the switch to the main studio) appears to have taken over Vanessa's "err..umm" delivery.

However, Stefan has been my favourite of the travel presenters.

Is that the bit where they look at CCTV footage with a detective from the Met? It reminds me of the old 'Crimestoppers' bulletins that some of the ITV regions used to do back in the day - all good local telly fodder.

Exactly what I thought, 'local' brownie points then haha.

Not sure when it happened but it seems they've finally switched the studio cameras to interlaced. Sadly the sound is still out of sync.

Interesting - wonder if the cameras are running 1080i interlaced or shooting 720/50p or 1080/50p (i.e 50p rather than 25p progressive) and being downconverted to 576/50i downstream?
