Towards the end, a few clues about the new NC programme.

She says it will launch November/December, and says she doesn't know the precise timeslot yet.

BBC News and its HD variant seem to have swapped positions on my Sky box. I assume this happened a while ago for subscribers to the Sky HD pack (or whatever it's called these days)

The swapping of BBC News HD was delayed until after Christmas 2013, "in order to avoid non-essential technical work that could impact the availability of our existing SD BBC News channel whilst it is covering a major news story" - http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/aboutthebbc/posts/CBBC-HD-CBeebies-HD-BBC-Three-HD-BBC-Four-HD-and-BBC-News-HD-to-launch-on-Tuesday-10-December-2013

Is 'Scotland Decides: Referendum Today' live from Glasgow or is it pre-recorded? It's quite an odd set-up, using the purple BBC Referendum graphical style for the opening sting, but with the 'Glasgow 2014' music, after which point they use Glasgow 2014 stings, albeit with the words on the titles changed. The colours in the studio look a bit odd too, using some purple from the referendum graphics, but then red and the Glasgow Skylinee.

I watched the program on Tuesday, and their seemed to be a LIVE bug on show during the end of the program, wasn't quite sure whether it's at the start. The presenter, Sarah Smith or something, she is not very warming at all, very neutral.

Tuesday 19:30 used Scotland Today titles and seemed to be live and then repeated at 21:30 as a recording of the earlier show. On Wednesday, a short sting of 'Review of the week' was played, not sure whether this was recorded or not

Sarah Smith (or something) was a stalwart of Channel Four News (she was their Washington correspondent and Business Correspondent amongst other roles) and presented More4 News from launch. She is the daughter of former Labour Leader John Smith (who died of a heart attack in 1994 whilst party leader)

You don't get to be a reporter on Channel Four news for any length of time without being a rock solid journalist. I've always found her to be very no nonsense, and straightforward in style.

I think Sarah Smith is very no-nonsense too.

Talking Books special now on NC, isn't it just a longer version of Meet the author?
