Thanks for capturing. I saw some of this earlier and thought the travel bulletin looked much better from the main studio - exactly how they should be doing it on Wake Up London.

The Carnival coverage seemed ok, although their presenting position seemed rather away from the action.

Agreed on the travel part coming from the main studio on Wake Up London. Have they got anyone at LL who agrees with that though?

Rhian still needs more experience though.

I'm hoping for better tomorrow when Alex Beard presents the 3-5pm coverage.

Looks like they're getting ready to do a live from about 2m from my spot backstage. DSLR covered in cling film for weatherproofing Smile

The Big Question segment now uses the large plasma. Yet Vanessa Baffoe was still using the smaller touch screens in the hub studio this morning.

Four published responses to the OFCOM consultation on London Live. I was expecting some more substantive responses:

Only one of the four submissions was legible.

Then again, LL should be pleased four people took the time to watch!

Power Lunch replaced by Headline London today. Hope this is a permanent move?

All consistent in their message, though - and the argument that local TV should be, well, local is a pretty sound one. So it'll be interesting to see what Ofcom decide.

If Ofcom say no, LL could hand the licence back to Ofcom which would be a massive blow to local tv as well as politically for the Tories if the largest local tv licence doesn't work.

If they say yes, the other bidders could take legal action, but would maintain the 5.5 hours of local 'news' which ESTV still provide,
