They had three guests on the papers last night. Never seen that before.

I didn't even know that he was very sick after trying to see him on the BBC News at Six for many weeks. I hope that this man will fight through it. He is a brilliant newsreader to watch and hear on the BBC.

No World Cup countdowns on the air yet. Are they not bothering this year, or are they likely to go live tomorrow?

Also, BBC World News are now sporting a Breaking News sting, just before the strap appears. Is the news channel going to adopt the same thing?

I prefer the old look of the sports set, really not feeling that new gray/yellow combo. The old desk was much, much nicer too.

The BBC News countdown has been edited for the World Cup – but features the wrong BBC News box.

Is it just me or is there a new glow on the clock? Also the wooshes seem to have been turned up to World News levels.

There's been a glow on the clock since the move to NBH.

The glow on the countdown timer is definitely stronger and more noticeable on the BBC World News countdown so I daresay they've tweaked it on both News 24 and World.
