National Bulletin was in Studio C and London Regional came from the Studio.

On another note - I wish they'd have picked a clearer map template for Jeremy Vine, surely a plain white one like the one on Maitlis' Touchscreen would have been better.

I'm watching on HD, and didn't even realise there was a regional opt: instead we got an extra chat with John Curtice. (I did wonder why it ended with a sting.)

No regional opt here in Scotland HD either, I'm guessing we don't need one...

Scrolling through the regions and only a handful are opting out in England anyway, therefore there's the sting and no mention of the regions as I only think about 4 or 5 regions are actually opting out.

As thought, the duty overnight presenter, Mike Embley taking over from Alice Baxter to present the news.

BH seems to have got a clean feed of the election program, or using a zoom to cover old astons.

Could they not have used Salford for the election coverage? It might be good for the pro-London bias.

For the record, BBC coverage finished at 3.30am

It carried on after that

But wasn't it all a prerecord until we saw David sat at the desk when the sound then seemed to be ok?

I would say so, the whole opening five minutes with Maitlis and Vine appeared to be pre-recorded, finally going live after Vine's bit and when David was at the desk - at which point the ticker and clock appeared.

They mightn't have a Night newsroom backdrop recorded, can't see why they couldn't have used the World night backdrop, it's a usual backdrop on BBC News at this time of night.

They must have a night newsroom backdrop for the 9pm mustn't they?

Surely you mean that would have been bad for the pro-London bias?
