This was probably mentioned ages ago but I've just noticed an app called ITV Essentials which lets you watch Corrie, Emmerdale, Loose Women, TOWIE and Jeremy Kyle in a few European countries for £4 a month. I didn't realise the demand for Loose Women in Slovakia and Kyle in Gibraltar was such but there we go.

I read about it when it was first unveiled. It's aimed at ex-pats.

No it's aimed at Brits going on holiday, hence the name ITV Essentials (ie things you can't miss while you're away)

Actually, it's aimed at both.

It seems unfair that business travellers aren't allowed to use it.

I use Tunnelbear abroad which is free for 500MB then $4.99 (for a month) for unlimited. Lets you pretend to be in any country. Guessing this is a swipe at that.

Isn't it the same as Hola for Google Chrome (which is free)?

But even Hola has restrictions after a while, so it's not entirely free...

I don't think ZenMate [for Chrome] has any restrictions and it's free Arrow http://goo.gl/0QSx40

Oh, I don't know. I know when I was in Europe for a few months nothing seemed to work, and all the extensions made you pay I found, continually buffered like there was no tomorrow or simply didn't work at all. Then a friend said Tunnelbear was really fast and secure and they weren't lying. Sure there's plenty of options but in my experience it's a great service for £3 p/m.

And of course, you get to watch any network/country's shows, not just ITV's.

I do use Zenmate, but its limited to only having 5 countries. Hong Kong is very slow but most of the time Germany and the US proxies work like a charm with no limits and its free...
