Strange how the central screen behind Susanna and Ben is tinted :/
Was just about to say , I don't like how its got an "instagram-like" filter and doesn't match up with the other screens. I like the new set but that sticks out like a sore thumb. I really hope it's corrected before launch.
It could be the way the camera that was used for that photograph was angled at, I know that it was taken by one of the studio cameras but with actual handheld camera
Correct me if I'm wrong but if you look at the picture of the GMB set included in this Sun article it appears that to the left of Sean's chair is the old Daybreak TV Screen Plasma normally used for weather surrounded by smaller LCD TVs. I wonder if this will be used for the weather forecasts or used as a multi-purpose area of the studio.
Looking at the screen(s) I'm wondering if the large middle screen is a plasma, with the others surrounding it being LCDs? That may explain it. If there was any form of polarising filter on the stills camera, then that would alter LCD pictures but wouldn't alter that of a plasma. (LCDs use polarisation to generate their grey scale) Or it could just be a rogue colour correction setting upstream. I suspect that big plasma will be used for more than just a window backdrop?
At first glance I thought it was an arrangement of two landscape 16:9 screens in the middle making the large middle screen (and the segmented one above it) with two more in portrait orientation either side (With window frames over them).
However looking more closely there appear to be black bezels visible under the frames - which make me think the frames are there to hide LCD bezels. So I suspect it is a mix of large and small screens (possibly LCD and plasma or two different types of LCD)?
Interesting that all four have computers at the desk, GMTV/Daybreak didn't.
From the promo and another photo it looks like they have Apple's too - the keyboard and mouse are Apple anyway.

Susanna, Charlotte and Sean will all be used to using newsroom systems whilst on-air (to be fair - so was Adrian Chiles).
It's a good sign - suggests that the presenters are more than just 'gobs on sticks'. They will be able to stay across the running order, tweak intros, keep across wires etc. (Or do their Ocado shopping...)
