Richard Arnold’s got another interview, this one to be shown on Tuesday on GMB with Zac Efron. To me it still sounds like Daybreak…

I like what you've done with it. The clock beneath looks very nice, but it looks more uniform on the strips, maybe options 2 & 3 taking the inspirations from Lorraine (though on that note, it would be nice to see the circles on Lorraine's clock move).

I like what you've done with the text too, the greater level of spacing on the right, and the straight vertical line on the 'M' have been slight changes which work really well (IMO).

Looks as though Daybreak will get somewhat of a send-off

I'm liking the background on that picture. I'm also surprised that we haven't seen an early morning programme called 'The Breakfast Club' on TV.

Heres what I think we could expect to see from the on screen graphics on Monday, The sharper edge on the left of the logo cuts in nicely on the left hand side of the screen. It's also possible that the clock could take inspiration from the current Lorraine graphics...

Or the clock could be placed underneath the logo.

They all look good but as I said the other day I think they'll just have the time within the logo shape, hoping ultimately that'll be recogniseable as "Good Morning Britain" without the words being on screen. Otherwise to get an acceptable sized clock the text will be pretty much unreadable - or to get acceptable sized text the clock/ DOG will end up massive.

And having seen that awful mock and that page of concept designs I think we can safely say the Good Morning Britain logo is actually rather good.

Just noticed that on the website.

"It's the end of an era but a time for exciting new beginnings too, as we say goodbye to Daybreak and hello to Good Morning Britain, which starts on Monday. We take a look at Daybreak's best moments and chat to Ben Shephard about what to expect from next week."

Maybe it will get a better send off than GMTV possibly.

Who's to say we don't get an analogue clock?

I think it could be a massive mistake having relief presenters on a Friday, rather than securing 5 day week contracts for the 4 main presenters, appears that the presenting schedule will see Ben, Susanna and Charlotte off on a friday. They need continuity, and a strong 5 day week presenting team, and I worry it could feel a bit weak on a Friday: a reason to just watch BBC Breakfast!

Hope, not,it's harder to read when you've just woken up and difficult for kids as well. We are all used to digital, and it looks better too.

I thought I'd try and visualise how the logo and pottencial clock could work on screen, (Sorry about the old daybreak studio shot, I actually liked that studio by the way)

It is also quite plausible that they could use the teardrop shape without any reference to Good Morning Britain and place the clock inside that, however I'm not sure whether they'd do that straight away with a show launch, that change in graphics could come at a later stage if the show lasts and becomes more recognisable.

You have literally no idea if that is the case or not. No one has said if everyone is off on a Friday.
