The Big Breakfast House

Some of you might have seen my 3D Designs of The Big Breakfast House on the forums at Bow Locks.

As there's been a lot of interest and discussion of the show on here as of late, i thought i'd give the short-lived 2001 re-launch look a go. However, there's a twist: I've added the current windows and new additions to the exterior of the house. It still works well i think.

The Phone Room:
To bring the show in to 2014, i included a new touch screen monitor on the back wall which will allow presenters to bring up messages from social media, text messages and e-mails. I'm sure if the show was on air today they would have made use of viewer's comments on social media.

The Kitchen: There's a new arch way built in which leads to some sort of pantry in the real house so i've included that in the 2001 kitchen look:

Very nicely done. Obviously the old Planet 24 building is gone now so that is the biggest obstacle to a relaunch - though of course back in 1992 they started out without it. With the extra attic space they could probably produce the show - more green rooms for the guests etc. which might be the problem. How far away is the International Broadcast Centre that BT now occupy?

I tried to build some sort of production facility in the attic but it is really that small! I was able to fit in it a small office for production and three decent size dressing rooms but not enough room for technical production.

The space behind the house today is still empty with nothing occupying it from the Olympic Park so could a production company rent it from the Olympic Park and put a few porter cabin's on it?

The inside is truly tasteless and dated.

Aah yes. Tasteful. Exactly what the Big Breakfast was known for.

Probably shows actually how of the time that look was. Other eras of the show generally were never of the time, so look as good (bad) now as they always did.

I'm going be working on the revamped living room after the 2001 re-launch was undone and that will be up soon.

The presenters chairs return after a failed relaunch...

The chairs during this short period were red and pink from what i've seen on youtube.

Looking very good. I'm being a bit pedantic, but didn't they spend more time with the chairs and tv at the back in front of the back door patio doors during the final look?
