Confused Excuse me? You got censored.

Edited my above piece to make my point without getting censored.

I was watching Treasure Hunt earlier and I couldn't quite make out what contestant Sue Forster says upon first seeing the clue that Kenneth Kendall passes to her. As you can see, her line is not subtitled...

It is clearly showing the Challenge[TV] IPP going mash up and is therefore interesting and on topic on a TV presentation forum. I expect some system has interpreted 3-2-1 as 02/03/2001.

It is the 1987 Christmas episode on currently. This is the one with the dipped sound when Pat Coombs sings a song.

EDIT: I hope Mr J Sutton doesn't mind me reposting the image, just so we all know what we are talking about.

An intriguing sight towards the end of the 7pm showing of Nicky Campebll Wheel of Fortune, in what looked like a mini wheel of fortune sitting in the area where the cue dot should have been... It wasn't on the endcap, and it went down with the rest of the picture during the Timeline promo so it appears to be part of the programme.

Unusual, seeing as the cue dot for end of part one looked pretty normal. Shall have to see if it happens again at the end of the current episode.

(edit: yes it did also occur at the end of the other episode as well).

The Wheel of Fortune cue dot has been on all episodes so far but only at the end, not end of part one. I am surprised it works as a cue dot, it's not overly prominent and the animation is more subtle than the usual black and white flasher. Maybe by 1988 the end cue dot was less important that the middle one anyway. They were back to normal cue dots by 1989, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjZmdGWWSSU. Maybe Carole Smilie insisted on it. The only 1988 episode I have found on Youtube is this Christmas special, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nQoEjGGw9gY, but the picture quality is so bad, I can't make out the cue dot anyway. If the original broadcast used the special Wheel of Fortune cue dot then it is surprising it is not more well known, especially on here.

On some episodes, the credits will end and the Scottish Television endcap will appear but there is a jump in the audio, as if something has been cut out between the credits and the endcap or the endcap from another episode has been put on for some reason. This has happened on at least two episodes so far.

Angela Ekaette seems to be trying to build her part a bit. It always seems odd when she speaks to the contestants at the end, it's not needed, Nicky Campbell has already done that. I do enjoy the bit where she comes down the stairs at the beginning and shows off her frock though.

Apart from largely dropping the questions, it seems that Wheel of Fortune did not change all that much over the years.

Did I see right on one of the episodes, Nicky Campbell giving out Wheel of Fortune USA watches as consolation prizes? Were Scottish that stingy back in the day?

Remember it was the first series.

SCOTTISH TELEVISION, makers of the much-hyped game show Wheel Of Fortune, recently commissioned Ocean to build a special version of the coin-op Typhoon to fit into a small suitcase. There was just one minor problem; Angela Ekaette, the hostess with the mostest who had to demonstrate the game on the highly intellectual (shurely shome mishtake? — Ed) TV show, had never played any arcade game before. So young Kane Valentine of Ocean jumped at the chance to teach Angela how to operate a joystick! To find out whether Angela can hit the high scores, tune in on Tuesday September 27, when she will demonstrate the prize worth over £1000 (well I suppose it’s one reason to watch... yawn).

This episode was shown today. Ms. Ekaette did not demonstrate the game at all. It was just in it's suitcase and was not shown working. No one won it. I wonder what happened to it.

This is the second episode shown today, if you wanted to catch it on Challenge[TV]+1 at 20:30. It also has something cut out when they come back from the break. The music just finishes and then there is a jump to Nicky Campbell who seems to already be part way through a sentence.

Something similar happened at the end of the Krypton Factor this morning. Gordon said his goodbye and they cut in to the credits. I assume what was cut was the advertisement for applicants for the next series or something but this was the 1993 group c final episode and there wasn't a series in 1994.
