Not in London, weather presenter handed over the main presenter who closed the programme.

South and South East showed a full screen outlook graphic with the weather presenter handing over to Matt Taylor.

You can now see the late bulletins on iPlayer

Look East also showed a full screen outlook graphic, with the weather presenter saying, as it cut to the slide, something along the lines of 'Matt with have the national forecast next, so I'll leave you with the outlook'.

Does this mean regional forecasts with a presenter have returned to Lunchtime instead of Evening & Late as the change last year?

Lunchtime hasn't been mentioned in the above anyway, but weather at lunchtime is generally live on Look North. They are one of the weather hub locations though.

Looks like it was done in the SW. I didn't see Look North Hull - wonder how it was handled there with a pre-record of Hudson.

To add to the regional map, in Hull there was a conventional close with Paul Hudson handing back to the presenter who said goodnight, followed by the theme tune and copyright date, as usual.

Looked a bit odd, like they'd run out of time. No doubt a London focus group came up with this, rather like when ITV regional news presenters were banned from saying goodbye.

How it looks in Leeds, including Paul saying the wrong Matt.

That doesn't work very well - would be better if summary was on screen with Hudson. Even better would be a conventional close!

We shall miss peter cockroft. He is the only forecaster (along with Carol) who speaks in normal (for English) tempo which gives the listener time to absorb what is being said. Can't BBC give him a good payrise and get rid of most of the othersd!

Have no caps of it but what is going on next to the BBC Weather screen on the balcony? The wall looks like it has been stripped back or reinstalled and when I caught a glimpse a couple of days ago there were wires hanging through it where the BBC WEATHER logo used to be. They haven't shown the wall since.

Sarah Keith-Lucas seems to have returned to the screens this morning, returned from her maternity leave. Or have she been on recently before?
