Tim Willcox on another long day, presented this morning’s 0830-1100 shift with Annita and earlier presented World News Today from 1900.


Who else has presented in place of Carrie this week? Annita is an excellent presenter - it would be nice to see her in the 830-11 shift, with Sophie anchoring early evenings.

Annita did everyday except Monday which was done as usual by Sophie Long. The evenings were done by Nicholas Owen except tonight when Rajesh Mirchandani did it.

When was the last time Maxine Mawhinney presented on the news channel? Haven't seen her for a while....

29th December, however according to her Twitter she's back next weekend.

Also from Twitter, Martine Croxall will be covering the 8:30-11:00 shift with Simon McCoy for the next 2 weeks

nope there have been one or two occasions before the most obvious being when Tim was in Cyprus but I don't think they've been allowed in the studio together. Perhaps one of the reasons why Sophie has not been given the Morning shift permanently.

A few weeks ago, Tim Willcox and Sophie Long both appeared on BBC World together. Tim was in London studio, whilst Sophie was in Glasgow. They were covering the Clutha Pub tragedy.

They presented together on the 18th April. They were both in the studio.
