He's just as annoying as Schofield with Holly, so maintains the standard of continuity on the Mon-Thurs editions.

I emailed ITV about HD, waste of time though, seems they just don't want to spend the dosh

Exactly, it's not that it particularly needs to be in HD, it just needs to stop being in bad SD. Going HD would benefit SD too.
Yes. The SD from This Morning looks like something from Millbank. (Even Jezza Kyle is HD now!)

The voice of reason. With other things it can be quite noticeable, but if it wasn't for people pointing it out I wouldn't notice with This Morning.
It is surprising though - it's their flagship daytime show and HD is pretty much standard now for all new programming, so it's surely going to switch sooner rather than later. There were a few shows though that clung on to 4:3 longer than you'd expect - ITV News being one of them.
I know it might be nice to see the lovely Holly in HD- but is there any real desperate need for HD really? I never notice much difference between SD and HD

St8 is pretty much dedicated to TM, that being the case and given that it's a self contained as a production island, it's going to be a significant investment just for one programme because the studio can't be used for anything else apart from the odd bit of footy. TLS won't make the investment unless there is a strong business case, so it will be up to ITV Studios to make a decision that they want the programme to be produced in HD and give TLS the go ahead to spend the money (TLS being a subsidiary of ITV Studios). I really wouldn't hold my breath on this one.

Shockingly enough the rest of the world isn't as anal about HD as this forum.
Surely there's someone up high at ITV (ITV 1) that will be wanting the whole channel to be produced in HD?
