Did a freeview re-scan in Edinburgh today and there appears to be 2 Comux tests for LOCAL TV 1 and LOCAL TV 2. Anyone know why there are two in there?
What LCNs are they on ? There should be two services on LCN 7** or possibly 8**, and what will
be the main local service on LCN 26 (for Scot/Wales, LCN 8 in England)
Which sadly means the "local" TV station in Mold is operated from Liverpool. Looking at the indicative schedule there is just 3x15min local bulletins a day and 2 hours of local content a week, which with repeats of that content means about 10 hours of local content a week. Most of the schedule as "As Bay TV Liverpool" - and their schedule only seems to have programming in the afternoons, with Euronews in the mornings and Teleshopping throughout primetime.
How on earth is OFCOM approving that pile of ****?

They've had plenty of practice, destroying local radio !
Most of the licences are in groups, with local press tie-in but very vague plans for other local content. Two hours a week plus bulletins feels about right. Presumably the
wait-and-see
is about how a sustaining feed is going to be managed?
Most of these stations will be sensible enough to know that
worthy
local content in prime-time will kill them. Some kind of sharing arrangement is inevitable, possibly by group or by affiliation to a master station. They'll also be sharing by format: I can see Estuary TV's "On The Bench" (sports chat show) becoming formulaic.
I noticed yesterday that I'm getting the Leeds Local TV test channels from Emley Moor, and I'm just outside York.
Chances are I won't get the York Local TV channel when that launches, as it's broadcasting from Bilsdale, despite the vast majority of aerials locally pointing towards Emley.
Big wraparound cover for London Live on the Evening Standard tonight. Studio Line from Loreal is going to be the "official launch partner". A few pictures on the inside of their original shows and some of the C4 stuff they've bought in.
