I'm starting to think that we're not going to see much of Emma Jesson now if she is off to Yorkshire as well. Big shame that we don't see much of Emma nowadays considering how long she has been at Central.

Emma is a genuine Central legend with her "bye bye" trademark. I don't like the modern trend of having Forecasters from wherever doing 'your' Regional Forecast. I'd rather they didn't bother and left the forecast to the Regional News teams...if this happened though I'd hope ITV Central would find a role for Emma on the Regional programme (lighter stories maybe?).

But a chroma key studio in Manchester looks just as local as one in Birmingham to viewers. Regional weather staff covering multiple regions is just a sensible cost-cutting exercise with little detrimental effect to what the viewer gets if done well.

True. Though it must be said that just having the Regional News staff present the Weather would surely be cheaper still? Whether that is the right way to go is up to personal taste I guess.

What has happened to Lucy Kite in all of this, or is she just on holiday?

Lucy is more of a Newsreader these days, though does do the Weather still occasionally.

But that's a cost reduction that looks different on air to the average viewer unlike the route they're going down.

It's nice to see Lucy Kite back at the forefront of the weather. It felt odd having national forecasters doing the local weather, especially stalwarts like Sian Lloyd.

Alison Mackenzie presenting alongside Bob tonight. It must be a few years since Alison was last on presenting duties?

Must be since the Carlton days if not earlier maybe. Sameena and Lucy must be either ill or called away suddenly as it's an odd decision.
Though it's hard to think who else they could use if they were both not available. Central's female presenters seems to be like a nightclub over the past few years. One in one out. Mostly to Daybreak.

EDIT: I see Alison posted on her twitter that she was presenting tonight at 6pm. She has posted a picture from Central's gallery that she sat in during the lunchtime bulletin. I'm sure forumers eyes will be drawn to a certain something on one of the screens that will be of interest!

Some nice chemistry between the pair and the same goes for Lucy Kite. There just doesn't seem to be any between Bob and Sam though?!

Pan regional programme tonight I'm presuming as they're using the generic backdrop. Not sure why?

Only regional insert they had was for the People's Millions for a few minutes in the middle when they returned to the Bull Ring backdrop.

Lucy and Matt on the sofa tonight. So Sam Ali has only presented once this week - interesting.
