Border STILL not getting Independence debate coverage! A big 6-7 minute piece on the 'live TV debate' tonight before Pam Royal directs us to the STV website to watch it with the 'best bits' on Lookaround tomorrow.

Oh 27 min opts for both regions tonight.

Trial runs? Seems odd having 3 minutes pan-region though.

Separate Daybreak opts this AM. Border branded as Lookaround.

Sounds like it's been happening a day or two... Presume Rachel Sweeney presenting both (one live / one pre-rec)? I know Border were advertising for a DB presenter.

Doesn't sound right having 'Lookaround' in the morning. Sounds like this will be our 'new brand' for all bulletins when the de-merge properly happens. I think 'ITV News Border' would be better outwith the 6.

Are they getting any new studio space when they de-merge? Or are Tyne Tees and Border just sharing studios still?

I'd guess it just means one live for 30 mins, and one pre-rec. Or doing what they have done a couple of times recently where they have 25-27 mins split and come together with both shows with the weather and live close (maybe).

Definitely noticed an improvement in the new split Lookaround. I notice Pam keeps saying "ITV Border" and having a little smirk. Anyhow, now Fiona Armstrong is back on and Pam said "ITV Border" have commissioned 2 series - all to do with the Scottish Independence.

Definitely a fresh feel to the new look tonight. Good to see Fiona back. The new border programme is on tonight and next Mon at 8pm.

Border/Tyne Tees still merged at 6:27 for then a split weathers and a live close on both regions. I wonder if this will stay or it will be full 30 mins on each soon. Did Border & Tyne Tees have split lunch programmes today ? If so surely it now looked a bit silly having TT&B on the screens at the end. The EPG is showing split weekend bulletins.

We never got that anything from Willie Rennie on STV news.

I agree, the word Border keeps getting used

I have to say who is doing the Tyne tees news at 6pm?

Why do Border get away with the 'goodbye' that every other region I've seen has had to drop? From what I can tell every other regions tends to end with something along the lines of 'Up next the latest National and International news with Alistair and Mary, bla-bla is back at 10:30, but for now, thank you for watching', which is seen here, here, (although there is a very quiet 'bye'), here and here. Every other region seems to view it as some sort of taboo word in the 6pm programme and would appear to be told to not say goodbye, yet Border do and get away with it?

EDIT: Although saying that, on the 30 day catch-up on Channel-online, they would seem to have reinstated their goodbyes...

Looks like all Border bulletins (except 6pm) are now ITV News Border, as that was what the late bulletin was branded.
