Here is an A-Z that must be due an update: http://www.bbc.co.uk/messageboards/ , where they still have an A-Z listing for the one remaining messageboard!

At least it's in alphabetical order.
I suppose its not a page that requires too much maintenance so it's not a hardship having it there.

Now that there is only one message board left if possible it would make sense to change the URL to http://www.bbc.co.uk/tv/pointsofview/ or similar. I wonder how much longer the PoV board will exist in their current form.

They could perhaps merge http://www.bbc.co.uk/messageboards/ with http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/mbpointsofview/ , and while they're at it, bring the branding into line with the programme page at http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006mysv .

I think they said the reason why the PoV messageboard is still there is because comments from it are used to feed into the programme when it's on air.

Branding? What branding? There's no POV logo on the programme page.

No, I meant the overall 'look' of the programme page, the design, the colours etc, I wasn't sure how else to describe it.

Am I the only one who isn't so keen on the programmes pages design. The way the background doesn't fill the page, and just randomly stops? Just looks like they couldn't be bothered to design a full background that then fades to a colour further down.

Surely it wouldn't be hard to create a full design background for the programme pages such as Eastenders. For me it just cheapens the whole look.

Thought it looked odd when it was first implemented, but I've gotten used to it. It fits with the 'blocky' style of GEL more than a background that fades into a colour, which would introduce gradients that they've generally been trying to strip out. From experience, too, the huge variance in screen sizes makes it incredibly difficult to design full-width background images of the style they've implemented.

I'm sure some here may have seen this, but this is a rather clever bit of... well I don't know how its done or what to call it, but for in browser animation and rendering its snazzy.

That's rather good. Shame they've used what looks like GIFs for the background.

I've noticed lots of iPlayer content has now gone HD, whereas only SD was available before. For example, Points of View, Saturday Kitchen, BBC1 news bulletins and The Andrew Marr Show are amongst some of the programmes now available in HD.

I don't know whether it's just been me, but has iPlayer been a bit slow this weekend. The live stream and programmes to watch back have been buffering right, left and centre.
