Some programmes from what is currently Channel 7 in Grimbsy and placed towards the end of Virgin Media's EPG, I'm led to believe this will launch on Freeview as 'Lincolnshire Living'. It's seems to be based at and run by an FE college, which I think is how some of the smaller channels will have to exist.

The second video would have been better anchored on location. It wouldn't have been hard to record those links at the venue and would have made the programme feel truly submerged in The Lincolnshire Show. I assume that studio will be used for a One Show style magazine programme. It does look a bit bare the studio definitely needs a bit more in terms of a set, that white wall needs some sort of coloured panel at an angle in front of it to make it look a bit less room like, the plasma screen could do with being lowered too so it's at a level with the presenters. Not sure on that dark backdrop either.

Looks promising though. I'd be interested in hearing from anyone who is currently connected to Channel 7 or has even come across it on VM.

It's a great shame they've had to resort to UGC already. Absolutely the last thing that anyone wants to see.

I don't think that's neccesarily 100% true but it needs a good selection process.

Re: The Lincolnshire show item, the fellow in the first report is one of the bosses at the station.
So do we assume there's not enough qualified journos to do the story?
Agree with comments about the "studio" set up. Pretty unattractive.

Channel 7 will launch on Freeview as Estuary TV, rather than Lincolnshire Living on Tuesday 26th November.

New website: http://estuary.tv/

The website is making the most of the above collective branding, whether all the branding will be like this or whether this is more a temporary measure whilst they get their branding made I'm not sure.

We really are setting up the channel from scratch. Only this week we began building two studios here in the heart of the Evening Standard’s Kensington offices. It’s a bit of a squeeze and there’s a lot of disruption as we tear down walls, shift hundreds of existing newspaper staff around and bring in new television talent and miles of cabling.

Could be interesting to see some pictures as that develops.

That logo is a tad strange, and doesn't really seem like a TV-friendly logo.

Crap logo, I think it's the angles of the cut away bits that ruins it.

I could imagine an animation where by the text disappears and video content appears in that device whilst it stretches out.

Yeah - it almost seems like they had it joined up/aligned properly at first, but introduced a gap to make it seem less derivative and unoriginal.

I suppose, but it'd make for one unwieldy DOG.

Better look here: http://estuary.tv/

They've also uploaded one of their adverts, which presumably they'll be showing from November, if not already.
