I would assume the same smart glass technology was used on Chris Moyles' Channel 4 Quiz Night programmes, where he could flick a switch and see behind a coloured screen where his guests were sat?

At the Titanic Belfast exhibition, there's a section which I presume uses smart glass. There are windows looking out over the docks, but every ten seconds or so, the whole window 'flicks' to an image of the area with the Titanic in it.
