I know! That Helen Ford womans voice is really irritating. I think Kenny Toal would be good to take over the 6pm programme, if Ian were to leave. Or would the job go to Tim Backshall?


The best 'Newsy' partnership for me is Pam and Tim. Absolutely superb! Kenny still does lecturing I think.

No like the current era!! Since 2009 merge! Some people need things spelt out for them! Rolling Eyes But Kenny was kind of main presenter anyways on location, just at the time I tuned in Pam was by her self for about 10 Minutes.

Nowhere did you mention you were referring exclusively to post-2009, how could anyone be expected to guess that, especially when you're referring to someone who has worked for Tyne Tees since the 80s.

I probably thought you meant post merger. Just thought/harked back a bit further, and probably a true point - 2005.

Ian presented once alone on the Raoul Moat tapes. Now that it was mentioned it was semi studio/location with Kenny Toal, that has been done a few times obviously.

Any Border viewers here watched the STV Produced 'Road to Referendum programme'? Has the version went out on Border been 'exactly' the same as STV's? I.E Ian Mcwhriter, the presenter, makes reference to STV and there are lots of STV news clips..?

Worth a note that Sarah Kelly was back yesterday, presenting the Daybreak bulletins. Probably a one off.

Oh that's a shame. Helen was a great presenter, I hope the new Lookaround (if it launches) will have its own presenters, Helen could have been at the helm of that's aswell!

EDIT: She is moving onto Daybreak. Good news.
