This has been going on since late this afternoon, how are the news channels dealing with this, since it now being classed as a terrorist attact, and a corba meeting will be taking place.

BBC News channel separate but with only a ticker.
Gavin Elser continuing from 5. With a recap of the main details at 18:01 then a different newsroom pan. BBC NEWS box/ logo stuck for a bit longer than normal, about 30secs.

EDIT: Sophie presenting the SIX as scheduled.

Yes the news channel did suffer a form of graphics meltdown at 6pm.

Good coverage from ITV London at the moment. Charlene White presenting rolling news coverage with reporters on the scene either on OB or via phone.

The News channel's still in C. With World moving back in at 6:30, one would assume Gavin will hand over at 6:30 to studio E?

Don't BBC World News go back to Studio C at 6pm? Gavin is still in there...

World won't move back to Studio C until 7pm. As at 1830 BST (1730 GMT) it is Focus on Africa in Studio B, which is timelocked to GMT.

I thought they moved back at 6:30 to allow a gallery and studio turnaround?

No, we're still in BST. If the time is GMT, there is a changeover at 6:30 for WBR to Studio C.

So what happens to the hour of BBC World News that is lost if Focus on Africa is timelocked? It'll still go out at 7pm BST.

I presume Gavin will hand to whoever is waiting in Studio E to continue coverage sometime soon...
