Why is Lucy's chair at an angle? The desk is at an angle as well

Well presentationally its by far the best ITV region now.

Not sure about the plasma for the weather.

Did anyone notice that they got Tony and Lucy's names the wrong way round at the beginning?

Looks far better tonight than last night. As others have said not a fan of the low desk and the weather at the screen but overall looks far better than the decade old set.

Are they using green screen in the studio aswell? What is the green curtain for?

Possibly there for pre-recording sequences of a reporter standing in front of graphics to go into packages?

Presumably for the weather. I expect most ITV regions have the weather green screen in their news studio so they only need to have one set-up, Calender certainly did that in the old building and I'd guess they do it in the new one.

I quite like it, but they need to sort the plasma screen out! It looks much too dark! Have they got it on economy mode or something?

I think it has some sort of dynamic setting turned on - it looks really dark when the whole screen is white, but looks a lot brighter when only part of it is.

I'm a bit puzzled why the main news scheme uses a "teal" shade of blue, but the Granada set uses a deeper blue.

I agree with the lighting - and the weather on that small plasma was a joke!

It just feels a bit half finished to me.

Jo Blythe tweeted that they have "a few options" with regards to weather pres from the new studio. Hopefully it'll mean using a CSO tomorrow night as that screen is too small.

Having watched last nights bulletin and tonights, I think it was a good thing they had a dry run last night, as others said it was way too dark yesterday but tonights was just how it should look. I'm quite impressed and the view is good, but I did notice the BBC logo in the background on one of the buildings. Looking good in HD aswell, you forget how sharp the national and regional titles look in HD.
