Who was the female forecaster on the News Channel yesterday? I missed her name, but she seemed new.

Former BBC South Today (and current BBC Radio Solent) presenter Alina Jenkins.

Thank you. Looking on her twitter it seems she's with the national weather team until April.

Are they bringing extra staff in to help while the move is underway?

Almost certainly, if they're having to staff two sites at once during the migration.

Another new forecaster on today. Stav Danaos from Reporting Scotland. Sara Thornton making a few appearances this week as well.

She's ex Anglia TV Weather, good to see her back on screen again.

Stav's back on Reporting Scotland weather this morning - but from London.
(or at least he will be at 0655 - Graham Stewart read a forecast in-vision at 0625)

If you were up late enough last night, you'd have seen Weatherview in HD on BBC One Scotland HD. (It appeared to have gone through a downconvert and upconvert for its earlier transmission on the national HD channel, though this'll obviously be sorted next week.) The graphics were still in the current style.
