According to a sunday tabloid newspaper, Paul was left red-faced when the placenames which were themed on measurements had only part of the names appearing (The words that appeared i'm not going to repeat here).

Paul appeared on screen accompanied by an embarrassing message, which left his fellow presenters in stitches which led him to apologise for the error.

Would that be 'Cockfoot', then?

Tonight's Calendar was with Christine in the studio and Duncan above the M621, he was seen getting out of what looks to be his own car, a rover, the same one which appeared in the 'stepping out' promo

Meanwhile on Hull Look North there was some banter with Helen not knowing how to do the common touch, I bet Helen wonder's what to do when Peter and Paul set off on one of their banter sessions!

Sit back and let the two slug it out! Mind you, she DOES get a good joke/jibe in sometimes!

Hi Guys.

I am new to this forum. Just wanted to say I am very impressed with your forum. You know a lot about your subject.

I have been at Look North Leeds for the past few weeks so maybe I can help answer any questions you may have?

Let me know.

Two to start off with: What's your name and what do you do at Look North?

You'll get to know me fairly quickly - I'm the one that's known on here for being the biggest LN fan here!

Look North on Sky -

Just thought I`d let you know that some viewers wont be able to get the Belmont (Hull) version of Look North on 101 in areas that it currently broadcasts to on analogue. The viewers will receive the Emley (Leeds) Look North. Though it will be sorted by next year.
Nevertheless, both the Emley and Belmont versions of BBC ONE will be available in the 900s on the electronic programme guide

Clare does the breakfast bulletin from the self-opt studio, which does not have enough room to accommodate herself and Lisa, even though Paul's Belmont forecasts do, I believe come from there. Lisa is therefore put into the main studio for her forecast.

I'm not sure why Clare and Lisa are kept apart, maybe InTune, our resident Look North news-breaker and 'man on the spot' can fill you in as to why this is.

You are right, Clare is in the self opt (Pres) studio, and Lisa is in the main studio - There is not enough room for them both in the Pres studio, and not enough staff to use the main studio.
Its nothing personal between them both, just technical. Though they have been together in the main studio when Paul is off.

Like today for example.

Both programmes featured the John Craven story today though Hull seemd to spend twice as long on it compared to Leeds, digging out classic clips and everything!

Interesting: Christa Ackroyd walked off the set at the end of the Emley programme, I think one of Paul's comments might have REALLY upset her. There was a story about a python that had been found (thank God, I am SEVERELY phobic of snakes!) and Paul essentially said Christa was 'fat and slimy'.....

Wouldn't be too surprised if the Director/Editor/Head honcho gave him a rap round the knuckles for that one...

Well earlier in the programme Paul was telling us an interesting fact about the weather and Christa said 'is this going to be interesting?' over the top of him, so she deserves everything she gets!

Personally, I think Paul's a great leveller for Christa.....

Now what was Helen Philpott doing on tonight's show does Helen Fospearo often take various days off. Also is Peter Levy due to do a late one today or tommorow based on previous situations?
