And the girl in the classroom is obviously not British footage either, or she'd be wearing a uniform.
Not true at all, there are schools in the UK that don't have uniforms.
I know that, but the vast majority do have uniforms. If I wanted an illustrative image about education in Britain I wouldn't choose a girl sitting in school in a pink T-shirt. My point is that they should have put more care into sourcing the images, rather than banging a few keywords into Getty which appears to be what they've done. I'm surprised they didn't have them commissioned or just use their own library footage.
I agree - it's strange that they have gone to so much effort with this top to bottom rebrand and then got lazy with the images in the titles. The thing is, even if they had commissioned a set they would be equally as irrelevant and I think that's the main problem. I like the style of the titles but using images related to the news stories would have made them even better.

Also spotted Dermot from Sky News on one of the screens in the titles.
Not an issue though, I still love em

The titles were very much done on a budget, so I guess we should be grateful that their implementation was so stylish and clean, even if some of the images used are library.

Yes, it is all a bit confusing. What used to be referred to as the "West" part of the region (formally HTV West) is now called "West Country (East)" and what was referred to as the "Westcountry" part of the region (formally Westcountry) is now called West Country (West). All of these "East" and "West" sub region references will mean nothing to the average viewer who doesn't know that ITV News West Country covers from Cornwall all the way up to South Gloucestershire.
Having said that I really do like this rebrand!
Here are the opening titles from this lunchtime's ITV News West Country (East version)
Also noticed on the website that "West News" is now "Westcountry (E)"

ITN website hasn't been updated, http://corporate.itn.co.uk is still displaying an ITV1 and green ITV2 logo.
