Israel's Channel 10 News has refreshed its on-air look this past May:

They've got a nicely done transfer between graphics and headline items, but the problem is that there's just too many headlines in a row. They could do well with just three or four items at first - and after that cut to the intro, after which they could continue with some more headlines from the studio. Also the VO after the intro is too quiet. Otherwise, not bad for a Zionist propaganda media, though they could always make it a bit better.

Loving the theme tune on that video! Very nice! Smile

Such a well presented bulletin, or at least it was up until recently. Whilst the music and gfx are great they no longer use their set due to a recently passed law which (somewhat bizarrely in my view) requires broadcasters that receive government funding to host their news from Jerusalem.

That fantastic multifunctional studio is in Tel Aviv, so now they use a simple green screen background for the entirety of the program, bookended by pre-recorded wide shots with the host wearing clearly different clothes and hairstyle, as can be seen here:

All very strange.

And this is how Italian TG5's graphic and theme should look and sound like! Seriously, their theme tune hasn't changed for years, and current graphic is like... semi-amateurish. (Click here and then "EDIZIONI INTEGRALI" for latest editions)

Maybe TG5 looks like this because of its competition in Italy:
TG1 (Rai 1): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVQrKEXIpaA (full-length editiion)
TG2 (Rai 2): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YIS3meqslRw (with the news director's name right in the opening sequence)
TG3 (Rai 3): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f9-70lvTF3g

I'm only adding the Rai bulletins because La7 isn't that much of a competitor for the Mediaset channels.

Really like 90s now.

In US Spanish-language network news, NBCUniversal-owned Telemundo has rebranded, ahead of its higher-rated competitor, Univision (and its sister network, TeleFutura, to be renamed "UniMás"), which will relaunch in January (Univision on New Year's Day, UniMás on January 7th), and that affected their newscasts:

Noticiero Telemundo (network newscast), which also got a new set and a guest co-anchor, Maria Celeste Arrarás, who also presents the newsmagazine Al Rojo Vivo :

How they looked before: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_asVOFiR1Bc (Jose Díaz-Balart, the main anchor, was off that day, with a two-presenter team filling in for him)

Noticiero Telemundo 51 - Telemundo 51 a las Once (11pm local news from their Miami station, WSCV):

Thanks! BTW, this is what Univision's national news looks like (it begins after the local outro):

I was going to mention how average it looked in comparison to Univision's bulletin, they seem to have opted for a more generic American style instead of the usual flair seen in their corner of the industry.

In Addition to Noticiero Telemundo's new look, Telemundo as a whole got a new logo which debuted on December 8th and aired this promo to celebrate their new logo
The new logo can be seen here:

Just a quick note here:
Maria Celeste Arraras is the new permanent co-anchor of Noticiero Telemundo. They debuted as a team on Sunday the 9th during extended coverage of the death of Mexican-American singer Jenni Rivera.
In terms of Telemundo's affiliate package, the package does not have an official theme therefore leaving it up to the station to use whatever theme they have. And finally, several Telemundo stations changed their names to match the new logo, For Example, WNJU New York went from "Telemundo 47 Nueva York" to "Telemundo Nueva York" similar to sister stations in Chicago, Fresno, Houston and other markets which dropped the channel number and their logo is this:http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20121209025612/logopedia/images/9/95/Telemundo_Nueva_York_2012.jpg

Interesting background info, asnycBBC!

When you've watched the clip above, check out the one below -- same station, same newscast, but 34 years later (2012):

Does anything look vaguely familiar? Wink (Unfortunately, the newsroom is gone.)

Yes I do. Although i dont live in the Chicago market, Bill and Walter's return made headlines even here in New York due to WBBM also bringing in presenters from WCBS-TV (Steve Bartlestein, Megan Glaros, Kate Sullivan)
IIRC Walter returned to WBBM during the Fall 2008-2009 television season and Walter returned in 2010 after retiring form the anchor desk at Fox Chicago WFLD in 2006.
Walter and Bill became WBBM's 6PM anchor team since July 29, 2010.
