Peter Grant seemed to cover the void left by Trai Anfield. Now it seems the cost-cutting comes into effect. Presumably Hannah or Paul will do alternating days instead of half and half?

It appears that Paul will do 4 days with Hannah with one. She's going to be doing more news. A similar arrangement BBC London has with Peter Cockroft and Wendy Hurrell.

Every-time I come home and see TT&B again every couple of months, it ceases to amaze me how Sarah Kelly still reads the bulletins. On the lunch today she is so wooden and fumbling over her words. That's been 2 and a bit years now she's been doing it!

Shockingly, the programme went pan-region at 6.07 this evening, you would have thought they would have had the whole 13 minutes of the scheduled shortened programme split. Instead, the newsier section of North East Tonight nevermind the Daybreak updates is covering Carlisle items.

Does Sarah Kelly on TT&BN always take a noticeably sharp breath and go "Wellllll..." at the start of each sentence on bulletins she presents? Her whole presenting style is on a par with some of UTV Live's ladyclones.

And I'm developing a bit of an attraction to Charlie Charlton over on the other side - is that a good or bad thing?

Paul Mooney doing the lunchtime forecast on Look North - undoubtedly due to the current conditions.

Given how often it floods in this part of the world, I imagine this situation is likely to repeat itself regularly.

You could not have made this up:

Tyne Tees and Border news this lunchtime:

*

Pam Royle introduced the bulletin as coming from "the Tyne Tees and Border newsroom".

EDIT: I initially thought it was from a CSO set, but the bulletin really came from the newsroom. Courtesy of Rachel Sweeney on Twitter:

Apologies for any misleading caused by my original post.

Clearly some work going on in the TT&B set then.

I wonder if that blue screensaver is anything to do with the new look? Laughing

Well we know that the region keeps getting larger, but covering a whole galaxy is ridiculous, poor Cumbria.
