23.00 is when the first set of poll close is it not? For a country believing in voting there shut them pretty early!

If I don't watch on the US Networks then I'll be certainly tuning into ITV1. Their coverage in 2008 was actually brilliant.

If you are going to use a silly way to format times and dates at least be consistent.
A complete waste of a post - we all have EPGs and many other listings sources.

Of better interest, in Ireland RTÉ are simulcasting CBS between 3:00 and 7:00, after their own coverage from 23:35. TV3 are simulcasting CNN from 2:00 'til 5:00.

You might think it's a waste, but it's all in one place, readily updatable with other sources and links to non UK coverage. The 'We all have EPGs' statement bordering on facetiousness.

It varies by state, between 18:00 and 21:00 local time.

US network election programming on NBC, ABC, CBS and FOX starts at midnight GMT which is 19:00 ET, but the first polls close in the parts of Indiana and Kentucky which are in ET, at 18:00 local time, or 23:00 GMT. A full list is at http://www.thegreenpapers.com/G12/closing.phtml?format=ga#IN-n

I'm guessing then there is absolutely no danger in the elections being postponed and that Hurricane Cyclone Super Storm Slightly Breezy Sandy will be a distant memory come next Tuesday.

ANYWAY....

I'll be avoiding the BBC I think. Last time Dimbleby and Katty Kay treated everyone like they had only just discovered America and it's political system. The graphics were awful, and because the BBC won't call anything (obviously), it's useless watching them. May as well just by a newspaper the following day.

I'll be watching CNN...all the way. They will invest and innovate with their graphics and presentation. Just look at the Youtube videos of their 2008 stuff and you'll see why.

I loved ITV's look four years ago - hoping for more of the same.

I know that Sky News have been planning their graphics for the US election for the past 12 months, so let's hope it's impressive!

Didn't CNN have that ridiculous holographic reporter thing?

You're right, they did.

I just like the way graphics feature at the fore front of their innovation.

I've just trashed a dozen or so off topic posts. Please keep this thread on topic.

The first post was decent enough at providing details about the upcoming programmes - certainly wasn't a waste. And if you feel it was wasteful, simply don't contribute to it.

Nitpicking at spelling and grammar isn't welcome here and it would also be appreciated if the usual suspects didn't wonder into the topic just to continue the flaming.
