Was that broadcasting while driving around too?

Isn't it just an old UK one?

Yes it is, however the vehicle it's on is a Dennis TransBus Alexander ALX400 Trident, made after 1998, that particular one registered 2002 (bus geek!) - the plate's illegal to use on a modern vehicle, after 2001 it should be of plastic, retroreflective construction, black on white to the front, black on yellow to the rear using a flat, standardised font and to the correct measurement, bearing a kitemark and manufacturer's mark!

Damn Frenchies breaking our law!

French plates are EU standard too!

EDIT: The general election 05 one was ex-TWM MCW MkI Metrobus!

I believe it was a world first because they were broadcasting from it while it was moving, the BBC's buses are only ever used while static.

I expect the London 2012 logo was found using Google images or similar, posters up at my work used the same logo!

It appears to be a 2001 registered Ex-National Express West Midlands (from the former Travel London) that was sold as surplus to requirement to a promotions company.

Served the number 3 route in London and was stored at NXWM in Lea Hall...

But the point is the WRECKED the Trident bodywork, never mind all the Road Vehicle Regulation offences!

The bus was originally V303 KGW (so was pre-2001), and was built as a Dennis Trident 2 (before TransBus International was formed).

Yes, V reg is 2000 - I do apologise, still stands though only for Schedule two, retro-reflexreflecting material conforming to BS, where the registration mark is displayed on the front of the vehicle, it must have black characters on a white background. and where the registration mark is displayed on the back of the vehicle, it must have black characters on a yellow background.

And yes, interestingly though they still had TBI steering wheels! Y709 TOH etc at NXWM have Transbus steering wheels.

Can't argue with that!

South Korea's SBS also had a double-decker set for the time. It's literally London's cliché. Very Happy
