It has happened again! A guy turned up at BBC Scotland for a tour and ended up on air. The BBC really have learnt nothing from the Guy Kewney/Guy Gomo incident.

And, as Brucie would say, "DHDW?"

The BBC now have the rarely used Susan Powell doing the weather on the NC and Matt Taylor doing the weather on BBC1, at exactly the same time. Why can't they just simulcast the excellent Susan on both channels? Is it because the forecast on BBC1 is shorter?

Can't talk for Matt Taylor, but I'm pretty sure Susan Powell's was recorded, so surely no reason unless one forecaster wouldn't have had time to produce two separate forecasts.

Is Martyn Davies leaving ITV Weather? I only ask this because of this tweet by Kirsty McCabe...

Similar tweet by Meridian's Simon Hardwick. They've just had a leaving party for him, he's leaving after 23 years.

Shame to see him go - he was with them from the very start. Also a shame that ITV's mediocre graphics still are surviving! Mind you, they are better than Sky's unintelligible grey mush graphics.

He's staying with Meridian weather "for a little while longer", as announced on his final national forecast just now.

I ( and many other on here it seems) wasn't aware he was leaving. I only thought to check on here to check as I was half watching the ITV weather and just about heard, not clearly "last bulletin" and something about ITV Meridian. Anyone know what he actually said??

A similar tweet from Sian Lloyd as well. I wonder who will present ITV weather now, Alex Beresford seems to do most bulletins thesedays.
