Peter Simon is currently bidding for some flowers live on air. Rather predictably, he can't use his own mobile phone. If he does ever manage to get through he might get a call back on air.

EDIT : Quite telling that he did get through (according to him, we didn't hear the call) but the item had sold out, despite still having a quantity of 20 on screen.

The artist Thomas Kinkade, often featured on bid shopping, has died.

Peter Simon is making the most of this now. They are selling a Christmas tree that he designed.

They have a slicing set on price-drop and the on-screen price right now is £0.49

Speed Auction TV are doing an ad break special everytime Britain's Got Talent goes to adverts, which is quite often, so far they have sold two umbrellas and a slicer for one penny. They tell you when the programme is back on ITV1 too.

Edit: A thousand apologies, this was actually on Price Drop. They have stopped doing it now anyway. The amount of breaks ITV1 are taking would probably bankrupt Sit-up.

Yep it was quite funny when they realized the amount of breaks. Laughing In some ways its nice they actually acknowledge that they are gonna get a small amount of viewers tonight because of Britain's Got Talent.

Speed Auction seem to have a permanent 'Bid Shopping' dog and have done for at least the past few hours at least. I think the three Sit Up channels sometimes use this DOG on pre-recorded items overnight but I haven't seen it on live auctions before. Bid and Price Drop just have their regular graphics.

It automatically appears a few minutes before closedown and around start-up. I'm guessing the timer was off....

Speed Auction had 4 Halogen Ovens for sale today. They started off at £98 and they all sold out before they had a chance to drop the price to a more sensible level. Credit to them, Lisa Brash has just said that everyone will actually pay £34.99 which is around the price they normally go for anyway.

Price Drop keep flashing colour bars and Speed Auction is off air (with apology caption). Bid seem unaffected at the moment.

EDIT: BID just stayed on the last frame of a promo for quite a while but are back again now. The website is still working too. Steve McDonald on Price Drop mentioned that the problem is caused by a thunder storm.

Exciting times.

Is the £250 prize draw DOG on price-drop out of safe areas? On my TV it looks like it's saying £25 prize draw.

not within 4:3 and 14:9 safe areas maybe, but on my widescreen Tv there's pleanty of room to the right of it.
