I do like them, especially the idents on white. I think they work well very well, and the red 24 one complements it nicely.

The 1, 6 and 10 going to have a dog? Confused

I don't see the logic in putting a DOG up but it'd be logical to BBC News' design dept. Very Happy

I'm glad you like them. White seems to be popular for print, web, and increasingly for TV Presentation. Just using white as a base colour and adding other colours to the palette will offer a more modern design. Remember how good SKYnews' Graphics were during the last General Election...

I have never ever liked red and black as a colourscheme. No disrepect to you Martin, I think your mocks are superb, and after all you are only towing the BBC line.

Red and black is very 1980s-eque - When I moved to my current house in 1990 there was wallpaper in my bedroom left from the previous owners, and it was red, white and black zig-zags on a grey background - it looked awful, but was the style back in the mid-1980s when the wallpaper was put up. It's a nasty, horrible colour-scheme, and why the BBC seem hell bent on using it, is a mystery. It's outdated and crass.

Liquid News however have developed a lovely set of titles, music and on-screen graphics, and the background of the LN logo is WHITE.

Red has never been a suitable colour for any sort of news presentation. Red is a very emotional colour, it's associated with anger and hatred.

Blue is the ideal colour for news presentation, and is still widely used now - the prodominant colour in the Sky Newsroom is blue, if it were red it would look dreadful - that's why BBC News presentation is dreadful.

The ONLY thing I like about BBC News is the wooden floors - they are very nice - they remind me of my house because all of the floors have exactly the same sort of wood as the BBC National news studio - only we don't have ugly red walls.

Kitchen - Cream
Bathrooms - Deep dark green
My bedroom - Blue and green
Hallway - white walls
Gym - White walls
Living room - White and blue

So you see - no one in their right minds would ever paint rooms in their house with red walls.

The old ITN studio was excellent - very modern, would not at all look out of place today. ITN between 1996-1999 was ahead of it's time really.

I'm afraid I don't like them. The only one I like is the second one, which is the one in use. It's the only colour scheme I like. Sad

I also think the Astons are way too big and Bulky. Shocked

Sorry.

Oh well, cant please everyone, though only change I made to the straps is the font, from Gill Sans to Helvetica to match the News 24 Countdown Numbers...
