This could also go in the ECP / Generic Credits topic but what the hell.
Have CBBC started using proper credis again. All this morning on CBBC ON TWO they've been letting the full credits play in full screen with no v/o or anything. now if only CITV would take a hint.

Will CBBC D and CBeebies be using full credits?
I noticed that, it would be great if they did keep doing it, but I think they were only doing it this morning because, the links had been pre-recorded so showing the credits meant that they had less time to fill. Ah well, it was nice anyway.
It was because today's CBBC was recorded. It is much easier to get timings right if the links are clean (no other programmes playing at the same time.)
lets hope they stop cropping, even if it is only on the Digital Channels.

According to the CBeebies web site, (www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebies) it's launching at midnight tonight! Isn't that a bit early/late for toddlers?! :

I've just spotted a second CBBC ad on BBC Choice before EastEnders.
It's nighttime, and the boy and his sis are watching CBBC (no less!), and Byker Grove's on, but when they susect their grandparents are watching it too, they go and find them out in the back yard snogging in Byker Grove teen-style and the boy shouts to his sis 'stay right where you are!' It ends with the usual 'back-off grandma!' catchphrase.
I'm actually slightly optimistic (if you can be such a thing!) that there will be a change to the cropping arrangments tommorow.
The other night I was watching CBBC on Choice and for the last few programmes they changed the aspect ration to 4:3, it zoomed in just as the programmes were starting very quickly, but with no fade to black or anything. The shows themselves were still cropped to 14:9 though, but it looked like a sort of test. A similar thing happened with Rugrats last week on CBBC on 1.
Now these new channels are actually going to have proper playout areas running them, not just a studio gallery as Studio 9 has (one of the reasons they gave for having to crop back in September). CBBC on Choice already does but they haven't bothered with ARCs even though they can do it. But because it's two major new channels, maybe they're finally going to start going to 4:3 for 4:3 shows?
Let's hope it isn't a rubbish theory, but on BBC Whats on all programmes have the W/S bit after them (though that could mean pillarboxing.). Though if that is the reason they've given for cropping then it's pretty pathetic as pre-September they had no problems switching between 4:3 and 16:9.
