I watched a bit of Emmerdale tonight, that in itself is not interesting to you. Of interest to me though is the answer to the following question.

When did Donna Windsor change her accent from East End to West Riding?

The last time I saw Emmerdale she was delivering lines like 'fawty fowsan fevvahs on a frushes froat, mate!'

Whereas tonight she was 'Ay up me duck your a daaft Nelly but ya look reet grand in yon cloth cap wi ya Whippet in ya pocket'

Anyone else notice this?

WERE YOU TRYING TO MAKE A POINT BEN OR DO YOU NOT KNOW WHERE THE CAPS LOCK KEY is?

At least I now know I not hearing things. Viewers and readers of TV mags have noticed **** it's more serious than I thought!

Yep Ben is right (why he was shouting I don't know...)

I think it was on Chatterbox when someone offered the view that sometimes regional accents can suddenly click into place one day. Is this possible?

It's very obvious to people here darn sarf that I have northern origins!!

Cheers, Asa

SORRY ABOUT THAT!

I've had a few PC problems lately - the keyboard keeps malfunctioning. As a rule I use the shift key for capitals.
