oooh... a new advert for 'Harry & Christa' on Look North from next Monday has just been shown for the first time.
Brief synopsis: Christa and Harry talking about what they look for in a partner! Christa seemingly on the Breakfast with Frost set and Harry in a white room....
Anyone see today's (well I assume it's todays) Look North Lunchtime? It included a report from Look East for some reason and for a second or so after the report, it cut back to the Look East presenter in their studio - did Look North literally tape the aired version rather than get the report direct?

The same thing happened on BBC News 24 the other night, it was after 11pm and Brend Paterson was presenting, there was a report and just at the end for a second you saw Michael Burke on the Ten o'clock News

Did it take place in the first 3 minutes or final 5 minutes by any chance?
Because I taped today's Look North but only the start and end sections.
By the way, Christine Talbot said tonight that they have had queries as to the wherabouts of Mike Morris, apprantly he is ill.
(Now I wonder where Christa Ackroyd is, and why she didn't mention that!)

No i didn't, But I have seen on 2 occasions a similar situation where the ITV Sport Channel logo is faded up and down.
Look North's weatherman Paul Hudson said today on 'The Peter Levy Show' (BBC
Radio Leeds, on the air right now), that he had just bought a widescreen set
and that when he watches Look North it says 'ook orth' on the creen
Somebody rang in, and is going to go and fix it.
So even those who work in TV, can't even set their widescreen Tv's up
correctly!
By the way, Christa was a guest this morning, but I only caught the last 2 minutes of the interview

I'm amazed at all the promos BBC North have made for the arrival of this Yorkshire TV defector.
I can't imagine this much effort being put into channel-hopping regional news presenters in or from the (West) Midlands!
A couple of months ago, Carlton Central (West)'s Suzanne Virdee jumped ship to Midlands Today, and nothing was said by either channel (although admittedly she wasn't a main anchor whilst at Carlton).
Also Midlands Today's Nina Nanar (a name which sounds like an ambulance arriving) jumped from Midlands Today to ITV News/ITN News Channel. Again neither BBC nor ITN/ITV said anything.
