Someone hasn't redirected the URLs correctly.

For example clicking Schedule at the top of http://beta.bbc.co.uk/radio2 just goes to the /programmes homepage.

It looks like the problem lies with /programmes automatically redirecting any URL on the beta sub-domain to the main site, without taking into account the rest of the URL. The test sub-domain however doesn't redirect to the main site. I guess that's another department/area within BBC Online.

Surely it should redirect to the same address with www in place of beta?

Appears to be doing that for me now (on my phone at least)

There are now UK/Scotland/Alba links under the date on the BBC homepage for people who have set a Scottish postcode. They still link to the current pages but I presume this is ready for the regional versions of the homepage.

Try going onto 'www.test.' and try clicking on the links. Wink

The more references to www.test I see, the more I foresee the impending blocking of it from public eyes

Some new options on the BBC weather site, graph and table. Looks a bit odd at first glance.

Radio Norfolk is available now, and pages for the other local radio stations will be available soon. We have definitely not ignored local radio, just doing a phased roll-out. http://www.bbc.co.uk/radionorfolk/

I'm very surprised that the nations' own logos haven't been shoehorned into the new homepages. For example, apart from the URL and a tiny lit-up "Wales" beneath the location/date banner, there is nothing that says "this is the homepage for BBC Wales" (likewise for Scotland/NI). They're messing about splitting up the online service into 'products' while completely forgetting about the way their TV/radio output is presented.

The Welsh/Gaelic versions look like an afterthought even more - for example, the prominent sport news panels have already been replaced (surprise, surprise) by links to Radio Cymru/BBC Alba TV pages - and rightly so, but then there doesn't seem to be any sport at all unless it's included in the news section, while the "most popular" panel at the bottom bears no specific relevance to the nations either.

The BBC Wales and BBC Cymru FAQ pages point out more failures of the design - several aspects of the current sites, including the traffic/travel data and the Vocab feature (which creates tooltip definitions of words for Welsh/Gaelic learners) aren't going to be included in the new design at launch either. Pretty poor IMHO.

15 seconds here. They obviously know there's an issue, otherwise why the spinny thing?
