The woosh noise is a bit over the top, and the voice over sounded a bit weird, but that's coming from an English speaker.
The graphics that accompany the woosh, I presume it says 'LIVE', as with the English version, are a bit too dramatic, but properly there to impress people with the shiny graphics they have!
Also the music is much better than the underscore used on the previews and breakfillers so far.
They need to show off their big studio. Oh, they have a presenter in front of their massive screen.
Interesting that they're leading with a story on the French elections. I never knew this would come top of the news agenda - I wonder how many Arabs will be interested in this, although having said that, given the large population of Muslims in France, I can see the large appeal. Big story for their first day, and good to see they have a reporter there in Paris.
All very smooth and slick so far. It shows that they've been practising for a while.
Oh, first technical sort of difficulty. Some French commentary coming through, for the presenter to look like rabbit in headlights.

Millions of Arabs will be interested in the French elections.

I noticed that happened A LOT during one of their reports on the website a few weeks before today's launch.
Would love to watch this in HD!
Please stop moving / zooming the camera!

They did it about 3/4 times then. Very excessive for both the visuals and the woosh sound as well. Haven't Sky News phased that out?
Credit to them for the number of live OBs they have out in the field at the moment though, and all in HD as well. Technically, they're probably one of (if not) the best Arabic channel out there.
Absolutely, great link!
The graphics are very flashy. They just used what appeared to be special 'live' swipe to a correspondent in Syria which was rather over the top.

The graphics are all quite familiar, but nice, still. The ticker doesn't appear to look as glossy as the UK one, which is a welcome change. There's an interview (I think, as I don't speak Arabic), from one correspondent live somewhere conducting it, speaking with another 3 corespondents, which is a nice idea. The number of people they've got reporting on the field is excellent. One of the corespondents on Syria seems to be anchoring, too, as he's linked between interviews and reports over the last ten minutes.
All in all, it looks very nice and lovely, but saw one of the graphics scroll on from the left earlier, which looked a bit messy. On the UK channel, it would scroll a tiny amount, and animate on, but due to Arabic reading Right to left, it scrolls towards the clock on the other side of the screen.
And special graphics for Syria already? They aren't that excessive, and slightly more tasteful than we'd probably do them, but the sound on the wipe (the LIVE wipe, I think), is a bit much?
