New intro for Swiss German TV broadcaster SF's news bulletins: very hard for ABC Australia to sue over. Well, see for your self...

BDA Creative's work for ABC has certainly inspired a broadcast design trend, to put it lightly. I wonder if it would be possible to of compile a list of the guilty? Greece's Skai News (http://www.skai.gr/player/TV/?MMID=225495) is the most blatant I've seen, and I recall seeing several others.

By the way, their morning/breakfast programme is blatantly and obviously copying ideas from Russia 24 - compare http://vimeo.com/28821883 (original) and http://www.skai.gr/player/TV/?MMID=225554#.T1R8ne0LXeQ .

The last minute or so of Montenegrin TV news from 1983... with a dramatic orchestral theme:

Speaking of orchestral news themes, this closing sequence (NBC, 1972) is pure gold:

SVT in Sweden not only has a new logo, but also a new look for its newscasts (and a set with a color scheme that makes it look vaguely like an aquarium at times):

The countdown looks same as DR's TV-Avisen....

Indeed.

Here's the end of SVT's national news and the beginning of the local news ( ABC , which, according to Wikipedia, covers Stockholm and Uppsala):

I'm confused by that closer - at what point does it go from national to regional? Does that regional lady just appear at the end of the desk like she's in a Hitchcock movie to people outside the ABC region? And why the odd fade to black in the middle, looks a bit abrupt?!

Other than that, interesting to see the direction they've gone in - back to the 90s with the bold italic text, but it sort of works.

@Fox1, that KKT studio looks like they rescued a set piece from the old Time Tunnel TV series.
