I walked past the proposed new site of BBC South West the other week. It was just a pile of rubble with no activity. There were also a lot of empty new restaurants hoping to take advantage of the new BBC building and its staff.
Does anyone know what happened? The most I can find is that the site is 'delayed'.

Spotlight bulletins are still from a single tight shot apparently against a green screen (which shows a blurred view of a newsroom very different from the usual backdrop). Anyone know why this might be?

I wonder if they're finally getting that floor sorted.
It looks as though they were doing some work on the studio floor. There is now a white rectangle under the desk, although the black area still looks far from smooth.
