It's either got an 061 number on the bottom of it or something heinous like the old slanty/curvy BBC losenges on it ... heaven forbid they show that. There's at least one other Pudsey like that in a BBC storeroom that I know of, I'm sure there are more... Smile

Did Diane do weather on NWT tonight?

EDIT: iPlayer said she did. Just wondering whether the Met Office strike had any effect, but obviously not!

The more I watch the NWT studio, I more I love it. I can't wait for Breakfast to broadcast from here.

I think Roger really is improving from show to show. He's increasingly comfortable, and seems to get on much better with Annabel. Perhaps it's a mixture of Ranvir and generally settling-in to Gordon's big shoes he left over.

Mmm notice that Annabel has been on instead of Ranvir for a couple of nights now...do they now split presenting duties between them?

To me the new set looks like bbc breakfast. are we 100% sure bbc breakfast will have their own set?, or is the new nwt set really just the breakfast set? and they will do all shows with sofa and just change the background screens?

I thought we were 100% certain that this is the breakfast set? Unless I've completely missed something...

I thought this was an interesting move, particularly as Annabel is likely to lose the Politics Show gig. I could envisage Annabel becoming more of a feature on NWT particularly if Ranvir starts to make appearances on breakfast

EDIT: Ranvir back on main programme tonight.

The replacement Sunday Politics will still have a regional segment

Anabelles a good presenter she''s under utilised at NWT buts she only works part time anyway she came from central news and seemed to settle in v quickly at BBC NWT and within a year started presenting NWT for Gordon which was great as she was an excellent stand in I think she should do more!

The whole set and sofa will become Breakfast on the 10th April 2012 the only thing which will change is the graphics in the 103" Plasmas and the set lighting. It will keep sharing with NWT. The lighting is 100% LED not one incandescent light in the studio. The whole studio lighting and plasmas are pulling just 15 amps.

No lunchtime opt-out on BBC One this lunchtime for North West Today. We had the sustaining News Channel feed instead. Very strange because Roger did the opts at 1:00 and 1:15 to say what was coming up.

I was going to ask why you were extolling the virtues of LEDs, but you are a man made out of them.

Although I didn't see it according to NWT on Facebook they couldn't come on air due to technical difficulties.
