LOL

I was thinking, have you noticed they sometimes use a reporter from another part of Wales to come to Cardiff to read the news i.e
We have Giles from Carms, Carole from Colwyn Bay, Nosworthy from Swansea and now Rob from Newtown. Surely next week will be Cath's turn or maybe Carole Green

Ive also noticed there is no sign of Juliet Piper reading the news - Jon/Lucy/Steve seem to cover the 6pm program between them with Tara being called in last week when Lucy had a day off. Its a shame if Juliet has left the newsdesk for reporting as she was my fave - oh well we still have Justina, Tara, Lucy, Sally etc

Yes Lucy seems to be presenting a lot more late bulletins now rather than using Ruth, Tara or Cath.

Has it been an Andrew free week upto now? Ive seen him do a few reports for the 18:00 news but not much else!

Rob isnt too bad- he a great reporter and an OK news reader! Just a shame about his unfortunate 'happy' voice!

He brings a bit of cheer to the bulletins though - I prefer him to Noseworthy and Mcteer!

I didnt know she was pregnant, thanks for sharing that info with us - congratuations to her!

I like Cath, she makes me smile when she's on the news - the ones im not keen on are Horseworthy, Mcteer and Andrew.

It certainly hasnt been an Andrew free week - he was on Mon-Wed. I cant face the morning news Mon-Wed so I watch when Sally is on Thursday/Friday and if we are *really* lucky we might get Justina on GMTV.

6 Years after the logo was axed Wink Mind, HTV still has 'HTV' on the sign to it's entrance. Shouldn't it be 'ITV Wales' or 'LNN Relay Centre' Laughing

Um the last time I was there - I saw a big Carlton sign before going up the steps!

That's worse still! Rolling Eyes

These were from a Philippa Meakin report on the 7th [apparently, from 'properties'] with a couple of blue HTV logos.
[Tiny far away one on the sign in the first one, see?]

The company's still HTV isn't it, so it makes sense. ITV1 Wales is just the silly on-screen name.

At what point did the idents change from a golden HTV on a sea blue background, to a blue HTV on a golden background? Late 1990s was it, 1998? I preferred the former anyway, gold HTV was nicer.

I'm starting to feel left out now, the only person who hasn't been to Culverhouse Cross..
But I have been to YTV in Leeds, but that was getting on for over a decade ago!
[QUOTE]

I may be wrong (and I stand to be corrected) but I'm sure a few years ago there was a Westcountry logo by the steps into Culverhouse Cross (opposite the HTV logo thats pictured above)

Saw Rob Shelly shopping in Wrexham a few Saturdays ago. Don't think many people recognised him though Wink
