It doesn't matter what the letter of the agreement is, the Welsh fan doesn't care about that as far they'll be concerned it's Wales match against England on TV and coverage which has an English bias would go down like a lead balloon and 'ITV 1' would not be seen favourably in Wales as a result especially going into the Rugby World Cup, although it's not as though there is an alternative option.

And also, it's not talkSPORT or anything, they're not just going to spend the entire build-up slagging off Wales, much like if they were showing England vs Argentina they wouldn't simply slag off Messi for being an Argie. They're professional broadcasters who aren't just employed to tub thump. The coverage will feature an English pundit and a Welsh pundit and the co-commentator is Irish.

That said, the other year when Sky showed Ireland vs Wales, Niall Quinn was the co-commentator and he kept on referring to Ireland as "we", but nobody else did, and he probably just forgot he was also on in Wales.

As the BBC did in 2004. I distinctly remember Lineker saying something along the lines of "We're supporting England today, yeah?"

Robbie Savage was among the pundits for that match, so it wouldn't have been the complete "we". Also, BBC Wales had their own presentation.

Although not then a official Sky Pundit, Gary Neville at the end of last season refered to Man utd as we, I suppose they are that used to supporting / being a part of a team It's natural and not meant to offend in anyway.

TalkSPORT's core audience is from England and when it comes to the football, the battle of the home nations is intense and their not a Public service broadcaster like the BBC so as long as they stick within the rules of ofcom they can say whatever they please. I myself listen to TalkSPORT and they're not anti-Wales Gary Speed was on Keys and Gray on Friday and they don't even have commentary rights BBC does.

I don't know, you have to answer that yourself unless we have some psychology expert in the forum there is no way we could know. Laughing

It's the radio equivalent of saying you read the Daily Express.

Al Jazerra have Scott Minto with Alan Shearer, Terry Venables and a welsh player in the Daybreak studio for the England v Wales match.

Is it recognisable as the Daybreak studio or have they redressed the set a bit?

Who's doing commentary/reporting and also I thought Angus Scott was their principal anchor?

Doesn't Gary Lineker front their Champions League coverage too?

That was a bizarre ending to the footy, with the highlights sequence having the on-screen display from the editing system overlaid. That it continued onto the endboard implies it wasn't deliberate.
