I suspect the 9pm 'problem' is related to rights issues surrounding 'Angry Boys' which would lose it's HD slot if the 2230 link with BBC THREE wasn't maintained.

They haven't been bothered about simulcasting Today at Wimbledon with BBC HD for most of the rest of the week, so I don't think that's the issue.

If you were up early enough this morning, you might have spotted some tests on the BBC HD channel...

Would someone like to explain to me what the 2 screens in one is all about on the BBC HD Tests?

That's testing for 3D.

So, Murray stays on One whilst the national news is moved to Two, who have dusted off a trusty Coast for the interim. I guess the regional news will have to wait until the conclusion of the match?

Oh dear. Murray continues on One, scheduled until 1829. Six O'Clock News moves to Two, but regional news follows on One...

Regional news is on BBC Two, though the Sky EPG hasn't updated on one yet.

Only in the nations though. The English regions will have to wait until 10.25, or so says the BBC2 CA.

Spotlight have just put a message on Facebook saying they will follow the tennis on BBC1 .

It's a stereoscopic 3D image, which appears as above on normal TVs, but which gets mixed together / interlaced on a 3D-capable TV and/or computer monitor. There are more, similar tests on YouTube such as this one : http://youtu.be/pgnTOKfm3eI

Surely that's a waste of money for the English regional news programmes to produce reports and employ an entire newroom team for the 30-minute bulletin for EVERYTHING to go to waste.

What is the sense in this? I know it's only going to happen a couple of times, but far less people watch BBC Two so it's easier to change the schedules on there without more people moaning.

If it were on BBC Two, the news, regional news, The One Show and the whole of the schedule would go ahead. Simple!!

But no! I don't get the approach of it being obligatory to have wimbledon on BBC One. Do people not have a 2 button on their remote or not know that BBC Two exists?
