New BBC Radio 4 Extra site uses GEL:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4extra/

Like the use of the 'Radio' under the 'BBC' header incorporating the logo. Sign of BBC Radio sites in the future?

The new http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/bigweekend/2011/ site. Obviously fairly festival standard for the Beeb, but also does that RADIO under the BBC logo in the masthead thing. I think the space before it is a it much, mind.

I really don't like that. I understand why they want to do it (to avoid having two BBC logos in close vicinity) but the dimensions don't match the actual BBC Radio 4extra logo (likewise with the Radio 1 logo).

In the days of corporate branding, everything should be the same. I mean, look at the BBC One page. The logo looks completely different from how it's displayed on the telly.

Is it just me?

Well it's not me - I much prefer how they've done the One Big Weekend Radio 1 logo and the Radio 4 Extra logo.

This...

Very unusual for the whole lot to go down. I figured my router had cocked up again when BBC News didn't load up.

yes, bbc.co.uk is down, no it's not just you, no it's not just {www, news,DNS,webmail, etc.}, no I didn't do it.

So essentially, KABOOM.

Same person claims that internet connectivity is "not broadcast critical" under BBC nonsense.

I like this one: http://twitter.com/ruskin147/status/52852671132078080

No mention of it on BBC News. Was waiting for a website plug to go wrong but they probably know it's offline by now so would drop it (I don't know when they put them in).

My colleagues blame me for BBC system meltdown. Apparently there was too much really dull info in blog I tried 2 publish. Computer said no.
